2. Get Started: Create Your Profile

To start using the app, create your profile. A profile allows you to securely store your information in the app using a pin code that you set. By using profiles, you’ll be able to see all of your active prescriptions and request refills.

Profiles are associated with pharmacy locations. If you have active prescriptions at more than one pharmacy, you’ll need to create a separate profile for each location.  Each profile will have its own username and pin. To see which locations are filling your prescriptions, check the address on the label of your prescription bottle. If you have active prescriptions at more than one location, be sure to name the profile with the location in the name. (Example: Jane-BR, for Baton Rouge and Jane-NO for New Orleans.)

1. Tap the sidebar menu toggle

2. Tap “Profiles” to open the profile section

3. Tap “Add Profile”

4. Enter the requested information to create your profile:

          • Location: Select the Avita location that is associated with your prescription.
          • Rx Number: Enter your prescription number.
          • First and Last Name: This must match the name on your prescription exactly.
          • Date of Birth
          • Phone Number
          • Email Address
          • Username / Profile Name
          • 4 Digit Pin: Choose a pin that you will use to access your profile. Enter this pin and confirm it. Be sure to remember this pin for future reference.

If you forget the pin associated with a profile, you can tap “delete” in the profile section to remove that profile. If you enter a pin number incorrectly 5 times in a row, that profile will automatically be deleted. You can always follow the procedure above to create another profile.

3. How To…

Refill a Prescription

The Avita Pharmacy app offers three methods of refilling your prescription: Refill from Profile, Scan to Refill, and Manual Entry. The easiest way to manage your refills is by using a profile, but you can also request refills by scanning the barcode on your prescription bottle or box, or by manually entering all of the information required.

Refill from Profile

1. Open the sidebar menu and select “Profiles”  OR  from the Home Screen, tap “Refills” and
    then select “Refill from Profile.”

2. Select your profile and enter your 4 digit pin, then tap “Validate.”

3. Inside your profile, all of your active prescriptions will display.

4. If you have any available refills, they will be listed under the heading “Ready to Fill.”

5. Select the prescription(s) you would like to fill, and then tap “Fill.”

6. On the review screen, indicate “pick up” or “delivery,” and add any comments you would like  to provide the pharmacy.

7. Tap “Submit.”  A “Refill Submitted” notification will display.

Scan to Refill

From the home screen, select “Refill” and then “Scan to Refill.” Using your phone’s camera, scan the barcode on the prescription bottle or box.

    • You’ll need the following information:
      • Location, Name, Date of Birth, Phone Number, and Email
    • On the review screen, indicate “pick up” or “delivery,” and add any comments you would like to provide the pharmacy.
    • Tap “Submit.”  A “Refill Submitted” notification will display.

Manual Entry

From the home screen, select “Refill” and then “Manual Entry.” Complete the information requested, review your refill order, and then submit your prescription refill.

    • You’ll need the following information:
      • Location, Name, Date of Birth, Phone Number, Email, and your Rx Numbers
    • On the review screen, indicate “pick up” or “delivery,” and add any comments you would like to provide the pharmacy.

Set Medication Reminders

“Reminders” allows you to create alarms to help you remember to take your medications.

To use reminders, select “Reminders” from the home screen. Inside the reminders section, tap “add.” Create a title for the reminder, and then schedule when to receive notifications. By adding multiple doses, you can schedule several reminders for each medication. To activate your reminder, switch the “enabled” on so that it’s green, and then tap “save.”

You can repeat this process to create as many reminders as you’d like.

The reminders home screen will display a list of all of your reminders, the frequency of each, and a quick view of when the your next doses are due. You can adjust how these reminders display by using your phone’s notification settings.

If you would like to temporarily disable a reminder, turn the “enabled” switch off.  To delete a reminder permanently, tap the red circle to the left of your reminder and confirm the deletion.
