National HIV/AIDS and Aging Awareness Day

September 18

Despite medical improvements that allow people to live with HIV for decades after diagnosis, long-term survivors still confront mental, physical, and financial obstacles as they age. National HIV/AIDS and Aging Awareness Day (NHAAD) raises awareness of HIV-related issues among older Americans, including as new infections among older adults and adults over 50 living with HIV.

Share this post to raise HIV awareness, highlight the need for more resources among the aging HIV population, and urge older people to get tested and know their status.

We salute those who have come before us in the fight to make #CompassionateCare more accessible for everyone living with or at risk of getting HIV.
