“Over the years I’ve learned a lot about myself and grown more comfortable in my skin. But there are still many days where I feel like I don’t belong. Sometimes it’s hard to be kind to yourself, and I’m constantly working to be better at that. For those who trust us in their vulnerable moments, it is an honor and privilege to serve you.”

Ensuring members of the LGBTQ+ community always feel welcomed, included, and heard is one of Avita’s cultural touchstones. For the second year in a row, the Human Rights Campaign Foundation has awarded Avita Pharmacy with a perfect score on its Corporate Equality Index, earning Avita the designation of one of the Best Places to Work for LGBTQ+ Equality.
Avita’s first Employee Resource Group, Avita PRIDE, is comprised of LGBTQ+ members and allies who meet regularly to discuss and develop innovative ways to cultivate a safe and diverse environment where all Avita team members can be authentic, where their contributions are valued, and where their backgrounds are appreciated.
We are proud to be an integral part of our communities through community support and outreach.
We sponsor hundreds of events and local initiatives each year across the country and provide our partners with high-quality, customized marketing and outreach support.
We invite our team members to take an active role in these community support events.
Our college Interns learn more than just business skills. We empower them to teach, inspire, and lead our workforce into the future.
We offer undergraduate and postgraduate paid internships in Pharmacy Operations, Human Resources, Marketing, Strategy, Business Development, Information Technology, and Finance. Our internship program includes both on-site and remote opportunities that run year-round.
Our interns enjoy learning directly from our C-Suite and other business leaders in the form of round-table discussions, career roadmapping, talent assessment workshops, and team-building exercises.
“I am so happy that I was able to participate in Avita’s summer internship. From the beginning, they made me feel so welcome and a part of the team. I could not have asked for a better group of people to help me set my career goals.”
– Anna Cruz, Avita Intern
We are proud to be the preferred choice for students who want a hands-on pharmacy experience. Each student leaves understanding what it means to unlock the full potential of health for patients with unique health needs.
Avita is currently in partnership with over 30 schools. Our Externship program runs year-round for 6 to 12-week periods. This program enables Pharmacy Students and Pharmacy Technicians to meet the requirements needed to become certified in their chosen fields.
Please contact [email protected] if you are interested in an externship opportunity.
Through our veteran partnership, our mission is to hire, train, develop, and retain veterans who have served our country.
We value the leadership skills that our veterans provide to help us stay focused on our mission. Avita has partnered with Boots on the Ground (BOTG), an organization which proactively connects veterans with Avita. BOTG believes that everyone has a role to play in their community which is why they commit 6% of their year-over-year profits to non-profit organizations supporting veterans and providing education and care to underprivileged children globally.
“As a veteran, I want the place I work to display the same values I learned serving in the military–respect, brotherhood, and a since of accomplishment. I feel all three at Avita. From the pharmacy teams to the CEO, everyone is treated as a valued part of one team. Everyone works together to take care of our patients and partners and continue to grow in serving our communities. Knowing that what I am doing is playing a major part in providing that care is the greatest reward of all. Avita offers so many chances to grow, personally and professionally.”
