Valerie Castello

Valerie is responsible for leading the compliance and auditing functions at Avita and supports compliance with privacy and breach regulations, protecting corporate data, and advocating for ethical behavior across the organization.

Valerie brings over 20 years of compliance and audit experience to Avita, including more than 10 years of experience in health care.  Prior to joining Avita, Valerie served as a divisional vice president, delegation oversight for Health Care Service Corporation (HCSC), an independent licensee of Blue Cross Blue Shield Association.  Prior to joining HCSC, Valerie was responsible for the compliance and delegation oversight and monitoring functions at WellCare Health Plans, a national Medicare and Medicaid managed care organization.  Valerie also has compliance and audit experience in the financial services industry, including banking, brokerage, and reinsurance.
